Production

Kitty produces HEX - San Francisco’s cabaret for burlesque, drag, and queer deviancy, which features local queer and trans artists. This production launched as Hex In The City in December 2016. The show has played in several historic queer venues - STUD, SF Eagle, and now OASIS. In 2022, HEX was awarded “Best Burlesque” of the Bay runner up by 48Hills. Kitty’s dedication as a producer is inspired by the continual creative growth of their fellow HEX founders: Barbie Bloodgloss, Cheetah Biscotti, and Sparkles Devine.

Kitty enjoys offering consultation and funding to newer QTBIPOC event producers as they begin their journeys. Some shows they are particularly proud of supporting include Cheetah Biscotti’s Nasti, an all-new drag experience featuring Black queer artists, and Thicc Tease, a strxp show created by and for the fat babe community.

Modeling

Kitty has modeled for digital campaigns for brands including Dark Garden Corsetry, Five & Diamond, and Harlow & Fox. They were a model muse featured in Dark Garden’s couture lines “Glossimer” (2023) and “Renaissance” (2020).

Background

Kitty’s parents ensured that they had the opportunity to explore the arts starting at a very young age. They began dance and visual art classes in elementary school, then focused on playing multiple instruments and acting as they transitioned to middle school.

Kitty graduated from an award-winning creative arts high school in 2014, where they received accolades for their contributions to the Theatre Arts and Technical Theatre programs. Their education was based on techniques from the MFA program in Professional Acting at the Tisch School of the Arts (NYU) and the physical theatre work of Jacques LeCoq. They developed their skills as an assistant director and stage manager through their work on musicals with casts of over 50 students, festival-touring plays, and interdisciplinary student-led showcases.

They began their professional technical theater career during their high school Summer breaks as well. Kitty worked in multiple capacities for two local repertory theater companies, including Assistant Director, Stage Manager, and Assistant Stage Manager.

Kitty briefly studied Theatrical Direction and Shakespeare Studies at Southern Oregon University and Interior Architecture & Design at the Academy of Art University before finding a deeper passion to pursue. They took their lifelong love of the arts and culture into the field of Social Justice Studies.

Education

Kitty has attained a Bachelor’s Degree in Women & Gender Studies (with minors in Human Sexuality Studies and Queer Ethnic Studies) from San Francisco State University and an Associated Degree in Queer, Trans, and Feminist Studies from City College of San Francisco.
